Terms of Use

These Terms of Use apply to Victorville Residents Directory and its links to San Bernardino County, California, court, library, archive, and state resources. By using the reference, you accept these terms. If they do not work for you, please leave the pages and do not use the linked tools.

1. The Reference and Its Role

Victorville Residents Directory is a privately operated reference about public rolls, record indexes, and historical collections connected with Victorville and San Bernardino County. It stores no government roll, court file, deed image, or vital certificate and has no affiliation with a public agency, court, library, or records custodian.

2. Acceptable Use

Use these pages and anything reached through them only for lawful, respectful purposes. You may not use the reference to:

  • Stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or harm a person.
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order.
  • Commit identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful act.
  • Make a decision governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
  • Scrape, republish, or copy the pages at scale.
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the service.

3. No Consumer Reports

This reference is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following. Information here, and information returned by a linked search provider, is not a consumer report. It may not be used for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose regulated by that law.

4. Outside Links

County portals, state searches, court services, libraries, archives, and sponsored tools maintain their own terms, prices, availability, and privacy practices. Victorville Residents Directory does not control those services and is not responsible for what an outside provider publishes or returns.

5. No Warranty

The pages are offered on an “as is” and “as available” basis. No promise is made that a description, fee, coverage year, link, or result is complete, current, accurate, or available at the moment you use it.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of this reference or a linked resource, including an action taken from a record found through it.

7. Your Responsibility

You agree to protect and reimburse the operators from a claim, loss, or demand, including reasonable attorney fees, that results from your unlawful use of the pages, misuse of a record, or breach of these terms.

8. Copyright and Copying

The original writing, visual design, logo, and layout belong to the operators or their licensors. Linking to a page and quoting a short, attributed excerpt is allowed. Systematic copying, full-page republication, and commercial redistribution are not.

9. Revisions

These terms may be changed by posting a new version here. Continued use after the change means that the revised terms apply to later visits.

10. Access Restrictions

Access may be blocked or limited when a user violates these terms, abuses a linked search, threatens another person, or interferes with the service. A restriction may happen without advance notice.

11. California Law

California law governs these terms without applying its conflict-of-law rules. Public-record references on the pages are informed by the California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000 and following. Court files follow court rules and statutes, while consumer privacy questions may involve the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act.

12. Severability

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to operate to the extent permitted by law.

13. Questions

Questions about these terms can be sent through the Contact page.
