This Is Not a Government Office. Victorville Residents Directory is a private reference. It cannot pull records, certify copies, confirm a resident, or change an entry. Those requests belong with the custodian. For an emergency call 911; for stalking or harassment concerns contact local law enforcement.

Finding the Right Record Desk

The fastest route depends on the record. Use the directory pages for the search angle, then contact the office named in the official source. A public-records request should identify an existing record, date range, address, APN, permit, document, or case number. It should not ask an agency to build a new list or decide who lives somewhere.

  • Street or parcel history: use Victorville Streets and the County Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk.
  • Older directories: use Victorville City Directory and ask the library or California Room about the exact shelf.
  • One person or case: use Victorville Resident Lookup and the correct court, vital, license, or business custodian.
  • Records not online: make a focused request under the California Public Records Act to the office that holds the record.

Case files and copies follow court procedures, not an ordinary city records request.

City Hall states that it does not maintain birth, death, marriage, recorded-document, court, or Sheriff's police records. The City Building Division can help with issued and finaled permit reports, while older permit or code material may require a focused request. For court administrative records, use the Rule 10.500 request route; for a case search or copy, use the current court copy form. The San Bernardino County Historical Archives and James L. Cox Public Library are the better first contacts for older local material.

For a scam or identity-theft concern, use IdentityTheft.gov, ReportFraud.ftc.gov, or the California Attorney General complaint route. The Attorney General's CPRA overview is a useful plain-language starting point for a focused California Public Records Act request.
