Information Entered in Forms
Names, phone numbers, and addresses typed into search widgets are sent to the third-party provider that supplies the sponsored results. Victorville Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you send a message, the mailbox receives the information needed to read and answer it.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting systems may record an IP address, browser details, pages requested, and timestamps. Those logs are reviewed in aggregate for uptime, security, and readership patterns. Basic cookies or similar tools may support analytics or advertising measurement where they are enabled.
How Information Is Used
Technical data helps operate the pages, diagnose errors, measure traffic, and improve the reference. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual profiles are not built from ordinary site visits.
External Records Portals
Links lead to county assessor and recorder services, California election and license searches, court portals, libraries, archives, and other providers. Once a link is followed, that custodian's privacy notice and terms govern the information submitted there. Sponsored results are also controlled by their separate provider.
Service Providers and Disclosures
Hosting, analytics, and advertising providers may process the ordinary technical information described above. A valid legal demand may require disclosure. Otherwise, the operators do not provide a visitor list to another party for its own use.
Security and Retention
Pages are served over an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only for the operational, security, and measurement needs described here. There are no user accounts on these pages, so the service does not maintain a password profile for a visitor.
People Under Eighteen
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor sent information to the contact mailbox, please write through the Contact page so the message can be reviewed and deleted.
California Privacy Choices
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, provides covered consumers with rights that can include access, correction, deletion, and limits on the use or sharing of sensitive personal information. The exact right depends on the business and the exception involved. California's DROP program separately provides a unified deletion and do-not-sell request route for registered data brokers; it does not erase government records lawfully held by a custodian.
Because this reference keeps little information, a request normally means checking the contact mailbox and relevant technical logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Requests to remove or correct a San Bernardino County, City of Victorville, court, election, or state record must go to the office that maintains it.
Policy Changes
If the privacy practices or this notice change, the revised version will be posted here. Continuing to use Victorville Residents Directory after an update indicates acceptance of the revised notice.
